NBA suspends Bulls' Hinrich one game, fines Suns coach Gentry

Hinrich made contact with an official during the fourth quarter of Chicago's loss to the Miami Heat on Friday. The seven-year veteran, who is putting up 10.5 points and 4.5 assists in 58 games this season, will sit out Tuesday's game against Memphis.

Gentry berated officials after no foul was called on Lakers power forward Pau Gasol when he clothes lined Suns forward Louis Amundson late in the fourth quarter on Friday. The Suns went on to lose the game 102-96.

Marlins could start season without No. 2 starter Johnson

JUPITER, Fla. -- The Foorida Marlins are preparing for the likelihood that right-hander
Josh Johnson won't be ready when the season starts April 2.

Grapefruit League action starts Wednesday, but Johnson, penciled in as the No. 2 starter, hasn't even thrown off a mound at full speed since September. He's experienced some soreness in his right forearm.
